Curaçao’s gambling regime is governed by the National Ordinance on Games of Chance (LOK), which modernises and strengthens regulatory oversight under the Curaçao Gaming Authority (CGA), replacing the old master/sub-licence system. Both B2C and B2B licences are available and subject to ongoing compliance, responsible gaming and AML standards. Operators must meet integrity, fit-and-proper and substance requirements, and advertising is permitted under strict rules. Unlawful gambling activity attracts administrative and criminal penalties, though individual players aren’t penalised for participation. The jurisdiction remains attractive for its broad licence scope and regulatory clarity.
